As my career enters its midpoint, I am increasingly focused on serving national and international communities of legal scholars and workplace experts, as well as higher education more generally. Here are some highlights:
National and International Leadership in Labor Law Scholarship
Steering Committee, Labour Law Research Network (2023–present) – I help set the strategic direction for one of the world's premier international networks of labor law scholars.
Executive Committee, Labor Law Group (2020–present) – I contribute to governance and strategic planning for this influential organization of North American labor law scholars and educators.
Service at the University of Iowa College of Law
Faculty Representative, Iowa Law Foundation (2024–present) – I bridge faculty and the Foundation's board, ensuring faculty priorities shape fundraising strategies and philanthropic initiatives.
Faculty Liaison, Iowa Labor Education Center (2020–present) – I facilitate collaboration between the College and the Center to deliver practical programming for Iowa's working communities while maintaining vital connections across the law school.
Director of Graduate Programs and Visiting Scholars (2022–present) – I manage admissions, curriculum development, and our visiting scholars program, fostering intellectual exchange and expanding the College's global reach.
Prior Leadership
Co-Director, Institute for Law of the Workplace, IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law: I helped steer strategic direction, guided operational and budgetary decisions for a membership-based center, coordinated multi-stakeholder partnerships across management, labor, and government, and oversaw major conferences, publications, and student programming.
